10 months old!

I cannot believe that 10 months ago today I was sitting at my desk at work thinking about my dr. appointment later that afternoon and wondering when I would see my baby boy for the first time, not knowing that I would meet this precious baby boy just a few hours later! Colton turns 10 months old today! What's going on in Colton's life you ask???

• Crawling very fast on all 4's now...we set him down and 2 seconds later he is across the room!
• Pulling up on EVERYTHING...living room table, bathtub (which scares me), Lauren's bed, pack n play, crib, etc...you get the idea!
• Teething! - Your first 2 teeth are coming in on the bottom gum...finally!
• Eating - We have yet to find something you won't eat!
• Sleeping - Before your teeth starting to break through you were starting to sleep through the night (8:30-5:30 or 6 am)...but because your teeth are bothering you, you have been getting up for the past week...but I think you will be back to your good sleep schedule soon!

Funny Stories I want to remember:

Story #1 - At 9 months old we started having you sleep in your crib all night. The first two nights I fed you and put you down in your crib asleep but when I put you down you woke up. You cried for about 5 minutes and then thought "ok I give up" and went to sleep. Ever since then it's funny to watch you. You just cry for about 10 seconds and then lay down. Last night you cried for 10 seconds and then laid down...then your dad and I would watch you on the monitor and talk about what you were doing because you would sit up and find a paci...lay down and then sit back up. We kept saying "I'm so tired" when you would lay down and then follow that up with "nope, I'm not tired..I'm awake!" when you would sit up...then 2 seconds later you were back down, etc...it was just funny to watch you and hear your daddy commentate your moves. :-)

Story #2 - Our normal nightly routine is for me to take you into your room and nurse you in the rocking chair and then put you in bed still somewhat awake and you put yourself to sleep after about 10 seconds of "hey why are you not rocking me anymore". The second and I mean second we sit in the chair and you hear my bra click you take your paci out of your mouth and throw it down like "YES dinner!" LOL

We love you baby boy!!!!

Big Day for Lauren!

I just received a call from Coleman's and Lauren was moved from the 'little kids' building to the 'big kids' building! Her friend Hannah was moved over a few months ago and ever since then Lauren has asked "where's Hannah" every morning! I sadly have to say "she is in the other building today sweetie"...but Erin just called and said they moved Lauren over and she was SO excited! Yay!!!! I can't wait to hear about Lauren's day when I get home tonight. I know she is just going to be exhausted from all the stuff they get to do there. The 'big kids' building has a giant play area like McDonald's or Chick Fil A's and to top it all off she gets to play with Hannah again...OH my! :-) I'm so excited for my baby girl!

Our Little Soccer Star

We had another soccer practice tonight. It was 101 outside so only 4 kids showed up. Surprisingly we were the first people there...so Lauren played soccer with her coach until the other kids showed up. He is really good with them and Lauren was having fun...

This was pretty funny because they were supposed to kick their soccer balls around while trying to get the 'tail' from the other kids...well Lauren and the other girl on the team decided to just play chase. Go figure...

Practice Game...and NO I didn't tell her to pull up her shirt like that! She did it on her own...and NO I don't go around my house with my shirt up so I'm not sure where she got that from! Future Cheerleader maybe? :-)

Lauren's 3 Year and Colton's 9 Month Photos

Saturday morning the kids and I had a photo shoot before swim lessons while Kraig played golf. I think they pictures turned out pretty cute so this photographer is happy!

Fun with Cole and Kate

Saturday we had a baby shower at our house for my friend Jennifer so Lori, Keith and the kids were in town to help host the shower. Kraig and Keith took the kids to Fast Lanes in Rogers and after the shower the guys brought the kids back and they went outside and played on the swing set.

Now all 3 are happy campers! LOL

The next night they came over to play again and poor Cole was a trooper...the only boy with 2 girls (since Colton is not old enough to play yet)...I think Lauren found a new boyfriend...she didn't want to leave Cole's side all night and kept bossing him around. Sorry Cole! :-)

All the kids spelling new words...ya know ULNE...that's a word right! Hey, the kids were happy and we were actually able to talk as adults so we were happy! LOL

9 hours of sleep!!!

This cute little guy slept in his crib from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. last night! He woke up once at 1 am but we let him cry it out and he went back to sleep and slept until 5:30 a.m.! I'm so proud of you Colton! Maybe there is something to this thing called sleep that other people talk about! LOL I'm ready to get back into a routine of working out in the morning so with Colton and Lauren sleeping from 8:30-5:30 or 6:30 (like Lauren did last night) that might actually happen!
