Colton Counting

Colton turned 2 and really started talking.
Then turned 2 1/2 and REALLY started talking NONSTOP!
Here is he counting for us this week at dinner.
I'm going to try and get more video of him talking because he really does talk non-stop now.  In the car it's "there's a blue car" or "that truck have trailer" or "the light is red"...just everything he noticed he says out loud.  Another thing he is doing is if he says something or asks you a question but you don't answer with the exact same thing he just said or in a way he likes he will go "no mommy..." and ask the question again until he gets the answer he wants.  He is turning out to have a very strong personality (not sure who he gets that from!  LOL)

Colton - Our Little Talker

Over the last few months Colton has really started talking NON-STOP!  If we are in the car he talks about the cars we are passing, dogs he sees, directions we should go "go this way mommy", counts things, etc.  His teacher is really good about writing notes on his daily paper to let us know how he did that day and recently there have been several funny things he will do and/or say since his vocabulary is growing.  Below are examples of such things.  Enjoy!

Lauren Funny - 4 years old

Well folks it happened. I knew the day would come where Kraig and I were put in an awkward position because Lauren said something 'interesting' to someone. Well it happened Wednesday night.

Kraig picked the kids up from Coleman's and took them to Taco Bell. They pulled up to the window to pay and Lauren likes to have her window down if yours is down, so Kraig rolled her window down and it happened. Lauren looked at the Taco Bell worker and asked "why are you brown". :-)

Kraig did a great job and keeping it together and just smiled and said "God made everyone different baby". He said the worker just smiled and he drove off.

Gotta love the innocence of kids!

I LOVE YOU!

Lauren has recently started giving us hugs and making that "awh" noise when she squeezes us but on top of that she is now saying the sweetest thing in the world! I LOVE YOU! And she says it with such enthusiasm I just love it! I have more video of her saying it in the bathtub with more enthusiasm than here, however she is pretty exposed, so I'll save her the embarrassment for later in life.

We love you too baby girl! Thanks for making our lives so special!

Talking More and More Every Day!

Lauren is now 18 months old and surprises us every day with new words. This video is one of her new things where she just talks and talks...sometimes we understand what she is saying...but then other times she is talking in secret code! She just amazes me every day with something new! The past 18 months have been wonderful and I would not take any of it back! We love you!

Lunch with Granny Barenberg

Saturday my niece and nephew had soccer games so Lauren and I watched them and then had lunch with my mom at Market Place.

Lauren wondering when I'm going to stop kissing her!

When they got to the bottom of the ramp my mom tried to get Lauren to walk back up the ramp and Lauren was not having it! I think she was worried that going up the ramp meant that we would go inside again and she LOVES being outside right now!
Thanks for your help granny! I really could do it by myself (at least I think so...mom's not so sure)...but it's nice to hold your hand!

This video is of Lauren talking...I'm sorry it's after a minute and a half...but I have not had time to edit the video...so if you will watch for 1.5 minutes you will hear Lauren saying Papa, Nana, Mama, Dada, Nona, bye bye, etc...it's cute!
