Wreck Wednesday

So yesterday I picked Lauren up from her 3rd day at cheer camp in Bentonville. We were going to drive through and pick up some lunch to take home so that she could eat lunch, then take a nap while I worked from home the rest of the day. Well she wanted McDonalds so I thought the Pleasant Grove McDonalds was best because it was right off the bypass and close to our house.

This was one of those McDonalds that the drive through is right by the entrance and exit however if you go through the entrance you have to drive around the building and loop back to the drive through. So I thought "I'll save time by pulling into the exit and going straight to the drive through". Sounded like a great plan at the time! Well as I pulled into the exit I saw a red jeep coming at me ahead...so I was focused on making sure I was getting out of the way in case he was exiting...(he was actually parking...but whatever). I turned right to go toward the drive through and BOOM! I apparently bumped/ran over (not sure really) one of those big ‘decorative’ landscaping rocks!

I'm just glad no one was hurt since Lauren was with me! I will have to have my passenger side doors replaced as I managed to clip the back end of the front door and the front end of the back door. I am also getting 3 different traction control messages on my car now and my steering wheel that used to be nice and centered is not leaning to the right side in order to keep my car going straight down the road. When I turn the wheel to it's 'normal' position my car veers off to the left...so I must have messed up the alignment. So not only are my doors messed up but something with the car that I can't see with the naked eye as well. :-( I'm taking it in to Everett Maxey this afternoon or tomorrow morning for them to look everything over and give me an estimate. Luckily all I'm out is my deductible...however I wish I would not have to pay that even! I would rather spend money on a vacation or something! Lesson learned...take the entrance instead of the exit...1 minute of my time is worth $1K!

This is where it all went down.

(not sure why this picture won't turn right...I've turned it and saved it 4 times and each time it comes out like this)

As you can see the point of the rock is sticking out past the curb. I'm honestly not sure which point I hit...but I think it was the point on the 2nd picture that hit my doors and then my back tire must have jumped ran over the side of the rock since my alignment is now off?
