Snow Days Routine

So today is day 3 of being at home with the kiddos due to the snow/ice we got Monday night. Things have been going rather smooth (much smoother than it has in the past). Here is our routine (just for my memory of what's going on in their current ages)
  • Wake up around 6:30 (45 min later than I normally wake up)
  • Eat breakfast (waffles and yogurt)
  • 9:30 am Colton's morning nap (normally 30 min to 1 hour)
  • 11:30 lunch
  • 1 pm Lauren's nap (normally about 2 hours)
  • 1:30 Colton's afternoon nap (normally 1 hour)
  • 3:30 snack time
  • 5:30 dinner (it usually is 6 or 6:30 but for some reason this week it's earlier)
  • 6:30 bath time
  • 7:30 Colton's bedtime (sleeps until 5 am...crys for 5 min and then goes back to sleep until 6:30...I've stopped going in to console him as we are 100% done nursing!)
  • 8:30 Lauren's bedtime (sleeps until 6:30-7 am...sometimes wakes up because of a bad dream but the last 2 nights has slept through the night without any wake ups!)

I have to say...I always thought I could not be a stay at home mom. I always thought it would have been easier if I would have started it when Lauren was a baby and grow into it gradually...instead of me starting when she is 3 1/2 and Colton is 15 months old...but so far the last 3 days have been really nice and have made me think that if I ever decided to stay home I could do it...not saying I am going to anytime soon (don't worry babe I know you are sweating right now) but at least I know if I needed to I could and would still be happy!

I love you Lolo and Colty! I have enjoyed the last 3 snow days with you!

On a side note Kraig let me know that I have not been as 'fun' to be around when he comes home the last 3 days as I thought I have been...so maybe this stay at home thing is not as good as I thought (laughing at myself now) because I can totally see how stay at home mom's would be resentful at their husbands for working out of the home. Ya know...they get to go out to lunch...they get a break from the craziness for a while, etc, while you don't...so while I have enjoyed spending time with my kiddos for 3 full days, I guess I am having some cabin fever after all. ;-) Props to all your stay at home moms though...you must have some really good deals worked out with your husbands so that you get some YOU time because I could see where that would be really hard having your job as the full time mommy and wife and never getting a break. So kudos to you!!!
