Exploring Saturday

Saturday we decided to play in the backyard before going to Stella's 4th Birthday party.

We have had this pool for a while but never used it. Well this weekend Kraig was in Branson for a golf tournament and I thought 'ok, I could load the kids up by myself and go to the SCC pool...OR I could inflate this kiddie pool and enjoy our backyard' which is exactly what we did and I'm so glad!

Everyone needs floaties and goggles for a kiddie pool right?!?!?!

While Lauren swam Colton decided he wanted to jump

Then they both decided to enjoy the water

After some pool time they decided they wanted to swing and slide. While we were there I kept hearing a chirp noise but could not find where it was coming from. After about 15 minutes I finally looked down instead of up and this is what I found. The kids were very curious as this is their first baby bird experience and Lauren is just like her mama...not afraid to go right in head first with animals. She of course wanted to pet it. :-) It on the other hand was hungry and poor baby kept opening its mouth thinking Lauren was going to feed it. :-( I went back later that night and it was gone...Lauren said 'good her mommy found her!'

My sweet baby boy who is growing up too fast!

Last Soccer Game Spring 2011

Saturday was Lauren's last soccer game of Spring 2011 with the Little Rascals. It was a makeup game and apparently the other team never got the memo because they didn't show up. So Lauren's team scrimmaged each other and had fun anyway. Our coach Matt Evans and his wife Leigh have been wonderful...they understand kids and have always been in a great mood at each game! Thank you Matt and Leigh!

Their last huddle with a "Go Little Rascals" at the end. :-)

Aunt Tammy, Cousin Katlyn and Cousin Austin came to the game and kept Colton entertained

While Ava bug came to the game and relaxed in the sun with her mom and dad Aunt Kissy and Uncle Brian

And while we didn't get a picture, Granny Barenberg was our cheering section for the day! Thanks Grammy (as Lauren calls her) for coming to our game!

After the game was Lauren's soccer party. Colton shared snacks with Lilly Grace's sister and Lauren chatted it up with Emma (our coaches daughter)

It was a great day! Kraig missed the fun because he was having his own fun playing in the 73rd annual Chick-A-Tee Golf Tournament at the Springdale Country Club (part of his Father's day gift from us). After the 2nd day he was in 13th place out of 141 players! Go daddy!

I.JUST.WANT.TO.SLEEP/EAT

This is not the best video since it's from my phone...but after the soccer party Colton was spent! He was so tired but he had not ate yet so I got him two cheese roll ups from Taco Bell and he ate one but just could not quite get the 2nd one down and this is why. :-) Love this little guy!

Lauren Funny - 4 years old

Well folks it happened. I knew the day would come where Kraig and I were put in an awkward position because Lauren said something 'interesting' to someone. Well it happened Wednesday night.

Kraig picked the kids up from Coleman's and took them to Taco Bell. They pulled up to the window to pay and Lauren likes to have her window down if yours is down, so Kraig rolled her window down and it happened. Lauren looked at the Taco Bell worker and asked "why are you brown". :-)

Kraig did a great job and keeping it together and just smiled and said "God made everyone different baby". He said the worker just smiled and he drove off.

Gotta love the innocence of kids!
