Colton's 9 month Check Up

My baby boy is almost 9 months old (will be Monday the 19th) so yesterday we had his 9 month check up with Dr. Furlow at NWA Pediatric Clinic in Fayetteville. Dr said he is just perfect and his eyelashes are in the 200 percentile with their length! :-)

Stats:

Height = 27.56 inches

Weight = 20.68 lbs (20 lbs 10 oz)

Head Size = 18.5 inches

This means he is in the 30th percentile for his height, 50th percentile for weight and 90th percentile for head size. :-) That means 70% of kids his age born at his weight are taller than him so he is on the shorter side of life...50% of kids his age born at his weight are heavier than him so he is right at average and only 10% of kids his age born at his same weight have a bigger head circumference than he does...so what does this mean? I have a perfectly healthy short chunky boy with lots of brains! LOL :-)

Colton is Crawling! 8.5 months old!

Friday Colton started crawling!!! Below is video of him this morning doing his one arm army crawl...isn't it cute! He is 8.5 months old. Love you chunky monkey!

Watchin TV together

Last night we were upstairs in our new room (well in the kids side) and Lauren said 'Mama come watch TV with me' and she pulled up her kitchen benches for us to sit on...so I had Kraig take a photo (since I'm normally the one taking the photos and not the one in them). :-) I love my kiddos and feel so blessed to be lucky enough to be their mom! I love you guys!

Girls Afternoon

Yesterday Lauren and I went to the Promenade Mall after her nap. She wanted to wear her pink 'princess' dress so I let her. :-) We went by Starbucks and she got a lemonade, then we went to Ann Taylor Loft, Sephora and then it was off to pet the PF Changs horse. She did so good and got glitter spray from the Sephora associate...she was loving it! I loved spending time with her just us girls! I can see pedicure appointments in our future! :-) I love you baby girl!

We Got Married...Again!

Friday night Kraig and I were remarried in the church. One of the seven sacraments of the Catholic faith is marriage and since Kraig and I were married in Vegas (not by Elvis and yes it was planned...not a drunk fest 'hey lets get married' situation) and not in the Catholic church we had our marriage blessed Friday night before Colton's baptism.

I love you babe! I'm happy to say that after 7 years of marriage you are still my best friend and I'm so glad that even though I was "not looking for a serious relationship" when we met (13 years ago) you hung around and proved me wrong. :-)

Funny Lauren Story 3 years old

This is what happened this morning…

Lauren wanted to wear her tutu this morning…I told her she could wear it in the car but once we got to school she had to take it off. So we get to school and she of course didn’t want to take it off. She started crying so I made her take it off and said she could put it in the car. She just stood there so I put it in the car. She started crying again saying she wanted to put it in the car. So I opened the door, handed her the tutu and told her to put it in the car. She just stood there holding it and said “I just want to cry!” and I said WHAT? holding back laughs…and she said it again “I just want to cry” and I thought “OH here we go!...Drama queen in the making!” LOL!

Colton is 8 months old!

My baby is growing up too fast! He is already 8 months old! So what types of things is he doing now you ask???

• Sitting up
• Rolling everywhere
• Pushing up with his hands and rocking back on his legs/feet
• Putting EVERYTHING in his mouth
• Teething but still no teeth
• Starting to drink water from a sippy cup (mainly playing with it)
• Eating 3-4 tubs of baby food a day
• Slowing down on the amount of nursing you want to do (I don't mind it because you are also biting me!...not cool Colton...not cool...but I still love you!)
• Starting to sleep more at night (you slept until 3:30 Thursday night, 4:40 Friday night and then 6 am Saturday night of this past weekend!)
• You talk all the time...first word was DaDa (of course...I just birthed you...but hey give your daddy the ego boost! LOL)
• Disclaimer...you are probably not crawling yet because of me. I've been afraid to put you down on the floor much with your sister 'dancing' around all the time I was afraid you would either fall and hurt yourself or she would hurt you with one of her toys or dances, etc. So don't worry about that yet little man...you will do it soon. I'm enjoying my 'baby' time with you. :-)
