Destin, FL June 2011

We spent this past week (May 28th-June 4th) in Destin, FL with Kraig's family for vacation and had a blast! Here are memories from our trip!

We waited until the last night to get pics and of course that is the 1 and only night it rained...and I mean down poured! So we took pics after dinner once the rain stopped...you can't see the ocean behind us...but our family still looks really cute!

Slide Crazy

Just in the last month Colton has really wanted to do things on his own more than ever. He now likes to climb the stairs to the slide and then slide down all by himself. NOW please note I am right there by him when he does this because the first video shows how he can do it on his own...but what you don't see is the next time he tries to do this he didn't lift his feet up and his shoes almost caused him to tumble over head over heels...so for the time being I am still going to stand right by him to make sure he doesn't take a tumble! :-)

The kids LOVE being outside so we normally go outside and play on our swing set/slide and trampoline (mini...not the full size) when we can.

What's Colton into at 18 months?

Colton turned 18 months old on the 19th of April. About 2 weeks before he turned 18 months old he just started climbing on EVERYTHING and I mean everything! I've caught him climbing on top of the toilet (luckily the lid was closed and he didn't fall in!), onto Lauren's bed (he likes to stand next to the safety rail and push himself back so he falls on his back on her bed...he will then look up at the ceiling and laugh), on the living room table and up into the chair in the living room all by himself so he feels like a 'big kid' like his sister I'm sure. He is talking so much and really starting to show more of a personality than ever before. He LOVES anything car related (cars, trains, tractors, rucks, etc). He just recently started dancing to music and swings his arms up and down and his head side to side...it's just adorable! Still uses a paci but we will probably stop that soon because he only uses it at bedtime.

Stats: 23 lbs 13.5 ounces and 32 inches tall

Teeth: 6 (front 2 on top and bottom and 2 molars on top)

Clothes: 12-18 month (some 18-24 month stuff but it's mostly too long)

Shoes: size 5-5.5

Diapers: Size 4...but will probably change to 5 soon

Words he can say:

Momma

MoMo (Milk)

Ow-side (outside)

Ear (sounds the same as Eye)

Bible (Book...not sure why he says it this way)
