PJ Day at School

Today was PJ Day at school so Lauren wore her My Heart Belongs To Daddy PJs. Doesn't she look cute in her little pigtails!!!!!

Colton - 5 months old

I can't believe it but 5 months ago today at this very moment I was in labor with the cutest little boy I've ever seen. I never knew my heart could expand as much as it has since he arrived! Colton you are the best baby a mom could ask for. You are so laid back, you love to laugh and smile and you just melt my heart everyday when you laugh at your sister. She loves you so much!!!

At 5 months old you have found your feet and hands and love to try to put anything you can get a hold of in your mouth! Its so cute to watch you take your paci from your mouth, hold it out and look at it and then try to put it back in. You lay on your back and pull your feet up towards your head and pull on your socks with your hands. You can sit in your bumbo for a short amount of time before slumping over and you like to sit in your exercauser with a blanket wrapped around you so that you can actually sit up. You have the cutest fat rolls I've ever seen and all I want to do is kiss those cheeks of yours! You giggle and coo all the time and sometimes I swear you are saying "Mama"! I love it!!! We've been secretly working on "Dada" so that your daddy doesn't get his feeling hurt. :-) That's ok though...your sister said "Dada" first so maybe it's just my turn!

You weigh 17 1/4 pounds as of this morning! You are starting to eat up to 7 ounces at a time and so we have started feeding you cereal, sweet potatoes and bananas. So far you have not made any funny faces so I'm assuming you like them all.

Sibling Love

These are the two best kids in the whole world. It's so neat to watch them grow each day and just see all the new things they are doing. Kraig and I are so very blessed to have these two crazy kids as out babies! They love each other so much and Colton has only been here for 5 months today! Crazy how much your life can change the moment you have a child...and yes there is enough love in our hearts to go around for 2! The instant both my kiddos were born my world changed for the better! We love you both so much that words can't even explain it! I just want to snuggle you both 24/7!!!

Bentonville Half-Marathon & 5K

I have thought about doing a half marathon in the past and when I saw this one thought 'what a great opportunity!'...however having a 5 month old and a full time job didn't allow me to prep for the half...so I did the 5K instead! :-) It was a nice cold morning with a bit of rain...but I think the coldness actually helped because I didn't know if I was numb from the cold or from running. :-) Anywho...I ran the 5K with my buddy Carrie and her sister-in-law. We did it and I'm so proud of us! I surprisingly ran it in 33:25 min so that's 11 min miles! A good start for my first 5K since having Colton if I do say so myself. This was Carrie's first ever 5 K and I'm so proud of her! Afterwards we both felt like 'we can rule the world' :-) Thanks for doing it with me!

Not Feeling so good...

Sunday night we realized Lauren was being too quiet. We went into her room and she just wanted to lay there...so we checked her temp and she was running a slight fever of 100.5. We gave her Ibuprofen and the fever came down. Monday morning she was feeling better so we took her to school. By 10:30 the school called us and said she was running a fever of 102.5 so Kraig picked her up, took her home and played caretaker for the day, then took her to the doctor at 3. It turns out she had some kind of virus that just makes kids run a fever and feel bad until the fever breaks...then they feel fine. I was happy she didn't have the flu or strep! So Tuesday she could not go to school because she still had a slight fever of 99.5 so she got to go to Nana's house for the day. Here she is all comfy in her pj's about to leave for the day.

Glad you are feeling better now baby girl! I missed my rambunctious little girl but enjoyed the snuggle time while I had it!

Marketplace

We met my mom, sister and her kids Katlyn and Austin at Marketplace Grill for lunch and my mom let the kids get a Chocolate Mess since they did such a good job eating their lunch. :-)

Thanks mom! They all enjoye d it!

Sleeping and Bumbo time

Last weekend Colton slept in his crib for the first time. It was a nap...not at night, but hey, its a start right. :-)

The Mall

Lauren, Colton and I went to the mall last weekend and Lauren got to pick out her own bow. It was purple and didn't exactly match her blue and brown dress, but hey, she was proud so I didn't stop her from wearing it! Isn't she pretty!

While we were at the mall the lady at Dillards let Lauren swipe my card. She LOVED it and felt like a big girl!

Because she was a good girl, she got to drive the Ice Cream Truck!

Target

The three of us went to Target 2 wks ago after going to a baby shower and we made it in and out of Target without any issues! Both kids did great so I had to get a picture of the moment. :-)
