Pumpkin Patch

While we were in St. Louis last weekend Lauren spend Saturday night with Aunt Lisa and Uncle Ryan. They of course spoiled her! :-) Below are her photos from their adventures.
I think this is probably my favorite! Lauren is coloring and Penelope (Nelly) wanted to be a part of the fun too!

Lauren fell asleep in the car on the way to the Pumpkin Patch, but Uncle Ryan was there for a soft wake up! :-)

Lisa said that Lauren LOVED the wagon! When they left, she said Lauren started crying because she didn't want out of the wagon. That's our girl! She LOVES to be outside. :-)

Lauren looks like she is having a great time!

Look at all those pumpkins!

Now it's time to decorate!

The final product. Thanks Uncle Ryan and Aunt Lisa for helping Lauren decorate her pumpkin! As you can tell from the photos...she had a wonderful time! We can't wait to return the favor for little baby Beck next year!

Our Little Diva Shopping

We are in Kansas City, MO and St. Louis, MO this weekend for Kraig's work and to watch the St. Louis Rams play the Dallas Cowboys this afternoon. Go Cowboys! While we are out of town Lauren is lucky enough to stay with her Aunt Kristen, Uncle Brian one night and Aunt Lisa and Uncle Ryan one night. She loves her Aunts and Uncles! Thanks to all for helping us out this weekend! Well, while we were driving Saturday from KC to SL Kristen sent this photo to my phone and I just thought it was so cute that I had to post it from our hotel room! Here is our little Diva shopping with her Aunt Kristen and Uncle Brian. :-)
She looks so determined to do it on her own and all uncle B is trying to do is turn the cart! LOL
We love you guys! Thanks again for all your help!!!!

Our Little Rocker Chick

Kraig went to Austin, TX a few weekends ago to listen to the Austin City Limits concerts. He said that this bandanna was awesome because it was so hot outside that he wore the bandanna to keep the sweat out of his eyes. Well, when Lauren found it she wanted to wear it so Kraig put it on her head and we could not get her to take it off! Maybe she is telling us that she wants to be a rocker chick when she gets older? :-)
Our little singer...
I love those eyes!

This shirt says it all..."Got my own style"
You are so adorable baby girl!
Say cheese!

1st of the season

Well, Lauren has not been herself lately, and had been running a low grade fever for a few days but Tylenol kept it under control. We thought it was just teething. We were wrong. I stayed home with her Monday afternoon after the daycare called and said she was not feeling well and by Tuesday she was not feeling well at all. We got a call from daycare saying she was running a fever of 101.4 and she had not ate all day. Kraig took her to the Dr. Tuesday afternoon and it turns out that Lauren had ear infections in BOTH ears! Poor baby! The bad news is that it's not even cold and flu season yet and she is already starting to get ear infections (due to runny nose, etc.). I just hope this is not the first of many, as she had 3 or 4 last year and they talked about getting tubes if she got more. Luckily she didn't get any more last season...but here we go again and it's not even into the full cold weather time! The Dr. looked at her history and told Kraig that if she has ear infections like she did last year they would have to put tubes in. :-( I've had people tell me that the tubes are actually not that bad...I just hate it that it's actual surgery! So please pray that my baby girl will not have any more ear infections!!!!
The good news is she has been on an antibiotic now for 2 days and she is feeling MUCH better! She is back to eating like normal and playing, etc. So it looks like it's on the up and up! :-)

8, 9, 10, 11...

So many teeth..so little time! Lauren is now 16 months old and has been fussy on and off the past few weeks...sleeping good for a few nights and then not sleeping good for a few nights...and I thought she might be teething. I looked into her mouth last week (or the week before...time flies these days!) and she was getting in her 8th (upper molar) and 9th (lower front side) teeth at the same time! Well last night I noticed two more! She is now getting in her 10th (lower molar just below the 8th tooth) and 11th (upper molar on the other side of her mouth) teeth at the same time! Poor baby! When she this happens she goes through stages of not eating like she normally does or not drinking all of her milk, etc...at first I thought "my baby is not getting enough food" but then after it happened a few times I realized it's just what babies do when they get teeth! I got some photos of her new pearly whites but have not had time to take the photos off the camera, so when I can I'll upload the photos so you can see her new teeth!Have a great week!**********************************************************Well, I finally had some time to take the photos off the camera...so here they are!

Lauren's Baptism

Our baby girl was Baptized Saturday night at church! She started getting a little restless but did a great job and just looked adorable doing it! Thanks everyone for the gifts and blessings! When Lauren is older and understands the importance of Baptism, she will truly appreciate your prayers and blessings for her life! Kraig and I would like to say a big THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!

I would like to say I'm sorry to Aunt Lisa, Aunt Mary Ann, Uncle Chris and Cousin Paden as we didn't get any photos of Lauren with them because she was getting tired (as you can tell from the last photo of her with my parents). Even though we didn't get any photos of you with her, please know that we (including Lauren) are very happy that you were there to celebrate with us!

The full video was too large to load in one piece, so I had to break it up into a few videos. I only have the beginning on here so far because it was taking too long. I'll eventually get them all loaded. :-)

Naptime with Daddy!

FIRST go to the bottom of the page and click pause on the music so you can hear the videos I have added! Then come back to the postings and listen. :-)
When I got home from work Wednesday this is what I found...
Now tell me she does not look like her daddy!
Kraig said that she played outside a lot at daycare Wednesday and she had dirt all in her hair, behind her ears, etc. Needless to say, it wore her out! So when I got home she was putting herself to sleep in daddy's arms. :-)
The trade off to Mommy was successful!

The video below is of Lauren snoring. I'm not sure if you can hear her or not, but she was a little. Also, you can see how she puts herself to sleep by rubbing her fingers through her hair. Isn't she cute?!?!?

A good nap will put anyone in a good mood! The postings below show you what she did after we gave her a bath (the tub was very dirty from all the dirt she had on her from school!)

Lauren Riding Her Zebra

Lauren got this for her birthday from Aunt Kristen and Uncle Brian. At first, we had to be by her when she was on it, because I was afraid she would fall off. Now that she is a "big girl" she can do it all by herself! Thanks for the Zebra! She loves it!

Lauren Talking

Lauren has really started talking lately! Some words we can understand and others we can't...but I got her talking on camera. Enjoy!

Just for my remembrance, Lauren is 2 days from being 16 months in the video.
